„I am inspired and influenced by nature and its unlimited range of forms. In my previous works, by placing elements referring to natural structures in tight frames, I treat the nature in a non-real, unnatural way. Space is more general and a converted form suggests its lineage is in nature and it deviates from a real picture. I create the way I can see the nature. A human being is part of it. At the same time he tries to get rid of the nature power by creating another word, focused on the abstract, the word of culture. In my last series “Mask of everyday life” I am interested in a picture of a human face. Face is always present in the culture. It can be considered to be a sign of identity, expression, but also a representation center; a sort of projection. At the same time it can be a kind of replacement. Belonging to a body it is also a symbol of personality. Face is strongly related with a mask. The author of the mask – a human being, equipped it with many meanings. It is connected with a ritual, dance, magic ceremony, one may meet masks in a theatre, at a carnival party and finally, in the “every life theatre”.
In the cycle of my latest works, I try to show the faces of a human. I am trying to capture the ephemeral mask that is constantly changing. Behind the superficial veil remains a real face that we urge to see. My images refer to the condition of a temporary human to today; “use of face”. I am also interested in the “inside” part, the boundary between a face and a mask, a point where it adheres to the face, a space between me and not-me, reflection on whether or not an accepted uniform of rules and auto-expression standards suit ourselves, how much conscious of it we are, whether or not we agree on them, whether or not we have ability to communicate with our own face and whether we can control it or not”.
