1985 to 1990 Honorary Doctor, artistic director of visual education at the Academy of Art and Design, Halle / Saale.

1999 Founding member of the Kunstverein Gera e.V.

2002 Originator of the Höhler Biennale.

Founder of „Ost-West-Pavillon” [East-West Pavilion].

2008 30. Internationaler Kunstpreis Hollfeld, – second prize.

Establishment of the Gallery „M1-Kunstzone”
